My big girl is growing up and wants to be a dancer. She attended her first ballet and tap class this morning, right where her mommy use to dance long ago. She loved skipping, pointing, twirling, stretching and tapping. Lindsay wanted to stay for the class after hers as well. She cannot wait to return next week. Just simply adorable. The only bummer is that Kendal sat and watched and cried because she so badly wanted to join in all the fun...how do you explain to a two year old that she has to be three to go to class. Poor girl!

Hanging Around
Some random pictures from April. Lindsay is all dressed up for her friend Sofie's fourth birthday party at Olivia's Dollhouse Tea Room. Darling place and she had a delightful time.
Kendal is just here being Kendal.
The bathing photos display Lindsay explaining to her little sister how to properly clean underneath her finger nails..."we must get that grit out from the sandbox at school...who knows what is lurking in there", wonder where she heard those words.

Easter
Easter started very early in the morning. We have early risers in our house, especially when there is the excitement of a holiday. The Easter Bunny stopped by and left many treats. The girls had jellybeans and m&ms for breakfast. We went to my dad's for Easter dinner in the late afternoon. It was the first time in 3 years we were able to sit and enjoy our meal with the adults. The girls ate plenty of ham and of course loved dessert.

Happy 2nd Birthday Kendal!
Dear Kendal~ Two years ago today you arrived 4 weeks early. You were just a tiny little mite, weighing less than 6 pounds. I couldn't wait for you to meet your big sister Lindsay, who today is one of your best friends. You are a sweet young lady with a determination I admire. Kendal, you are growing so fast that sometimes I want to bottle the sweet moments we share together; singing "Baby Beluga" before you go to sleep, reading books, playing outside, and enjoying family time. Your big sister loves you so much and celebrates all your milestones right along with you. My hope is that you continue to grow and learn each day while being a kind, compassionate human being. I pray that you stay healthy and protected from any harm. I love you more than words can say and am so blessed to be your mommy! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo...
We visited the LA Zoo last weekend. Perfect day, sunny but not too warm. Arrived when the zoo opened and avoided most of the crowds. The animals were amazing, especially the gorillas, giraffes and tiger. Dad pushed the stroller, which was great because there sure are a lot of hills. I doled out the snacks and drinks when needed (every 10 minutes). Kendal was done at about noon and let us know by screaming and crying for the last hour we were there (she's definitely two). Lindsay loved everything, though when asked what her "favorite" part was, she said shopping in the store at the end for her special treat...gotta love my little lady!

Sympathy Pains
Auntie Angela Visits
My dear friend Angela came into town last weekend to help her one-armed friend while Mike was in Las Vegas. We love when she visits! Funny how when a great friend shows up, you just can pick up where you left off...even if it has been a year. She brought the girls darling Easter dresses (wait till you see them), which of course both girls put on right away and immediately began twirling in them...and I am happy to say the dresses passed the twirl test with flying colors. We laughed, ate(Sees Candy Bridge Mix for dinner Friday night), shopped, played with the girls, talked late into the night(for us) and just completely enjoyed each other's company as true friends should. We love you Auntie Angela!!!
