Poor Sick Girl

Here is Lindsay lounging with "Hopscotch" the bunny on Saturday. She came down with a horrible cold/flu/cough....and has been down for the count going on 8 days. As her 103 fever persisted and troubled breathing after numerous coughing jags alarmed us we set out for a visit to the Emergency Room on Sunday. Seven hours at Torrance Memorial topped this eventful illness. She was such a trooper...chest x-ray, breathing treatments, long hours of waiting and she didn't shed one tear. Prognosis - ear infection and flu. We had the sweetest nurse, Kelly, who gave Lindsay a Popsicle while we waited forever and stopped in to our curtained area often to check on us. The most troublesome thing for us currently is that she hasn't eaten a full meal in 5 days...we're hoping her hearty appetite will return soon. I am happy to report that we finally had a full night's sleep for the first time in 8 days...yeah!
