Best Day Ever!

Super fun Disneyland day with Auntie Alina. Character breakfast, face painting, new ride adventures, amazing weather, and the awesome parade. It isn't called the happiest place on earth for nothing! We can't wait to go back!

Student of the Month

So proud of our Student Scholar of the Month.  She was recognized at her school assembly in January. Of course the pictures from that morning did not come out! Ugh! Regardless, our hearts swelled with pride that day! Way to go Lindsay Jane!! Thank you Mrs. DiStefano, for recognizing our girl and for being one of the BEST Kindergarten teachers EVER!!!

Fun with The Cousins

Heleina, Azha, Lindsay and Kendal decided to play dress-up with Teta Laura's clothes. It was quite a fashion show, some dresses, some unmentionables and the discovery of silicon breast enhancers that fit in your bra. The girls howled with laughter when they found out what the two mysterious objects were that they came upon. Most importantly, they wanted to know why they were not with their original owner. Conversation - Heleina - "Nona (Teta Camille), what are these (holding up enhancers)", Nona, "Those are ummmm Teta Laura's boobs." Heleina, "Oh, (giggle, giggle) well why are they here???" (Teta Laura now lives in Idaho). Fun afternoon for us and the girls! Love our cousin get-togethers.

Lindsay's 5th Birthday Party

First loves are the best. Lindsay and Craig met in 2008 when they both started pre-school together. They are still friends though they do not go to the same school now that they are in Kindergarten. Craig's 6th Birthday party was yesterday. Above are a couple of notes Lindsay insisted to give to him. Craig has moved on to girlfriend #2 but Lindsay will always be his friend and his #1. His parents and I just laugh at their sweet little friendship and know someday when they're in high school we'll be able to bribe them with these photos.

UCLA

We were offered tickets to the UCLA basketball game by the assistant athletic director, who happens to be the father of one of my students. We S-C-O-R-E-D! The Bruins are playing their basketball games at the Honda Center and the Sports Arena while Poly Pavillion is being remodeled. Seats on the floor behind the ASU bench at the Honda Center. The girls were thrilled about their UCLA pompoms and cheered the Bruins on to a victory. We were on TV for some of the game, as the cameras were directly across from us. Lindsay and Kendal now know the UCLA fight song and you can find them chanting it at different times throughout the day.
