Kendal's 3rd Birthday Celebration

Our birthday girl had a family party...but we couldn't go without a castle to jump ourselves silly in! The weather was not very cooperative, but we made do...kids have warm blood and the cold never stops them. We had sprinkles of rain throughout the afternoon...but that didn't dampen our spirits!

Hey, I'm 3!

Lindsay and her best buddy Sofie

Kendal's godmother (my very good friend) Patti was here from Danville...we were so excited to have she and her family at the party. Matthew and John Thomas (Kendal's godbrothers) were so sweet to her!

Kendal originally ordered a "poison apple" cake...but seemed happy with her Snow White cake...we thought the poison apple concept was hilarious...and that's what she seriously wanted!

Natural History Museum

A fun day in Los Angeles at the Natural History Museum. The girls loved the animal exhibits and Mike loved the polar bear. Great museum!

Beach Day in March

We love those 80 degree temps in March. Here the girls are at the shore with Auntie Angela and myself. Absolutely gorgeous day...how I forgot the swimsuits I don't know! Good thing there were changes of clothes in the car...not sure there was any sand left at the beach...seemed all of it was in my car later that day!

The Happiest Place on Earth

Nothing like playing hookie and spending the day at Disneyland. I surprised the girls and Auntie Alina met us at the happiest place on earth. It was a brisk but sunny day. We enjoyed our special day; rides, face painting, princess pictures (minus Kendal), ice cream and a prize on the way out...would love to do this every week...in fact Friday when we were getting ready for school at 6am...Lindsay said "Mom, can't we just go to Disneyland today"...oh, how I wish I could say yes to that!

Grandma Kathy's Birthday

We celebrated Grandma Kathy's birthday in January. It isn't a Puerta celebration unless there's a sing-along with Joe playing his guitar and the rest of the family singing...and dancing. The girls also enjoyed the sunshiny afternoon in Poppy's front yard playing with Auntie Disneyland...I mean Auntie Alina (see below). We're always up for some cake and celebration! Happy Birthday Grandma Kathy!
