Playdates and Parties

We went to Eeva and Anthony's 5th birthday party at Adventure City. As you can see from the above photo the girls enjoyed themselves. Eeva and Anthony have been in pre-school with Lindsay since she was 2...they're old time friends.

Lindsay and Kendal have enjoyed a couple of playdates in the last month. Below is Lindsay and her friend Sofie, Kendal and her pal Ava and Lindsay with Eeva...dress-up is the main attraction at our house.

Nona Turns 92

We're thrilled to still have our Nona around. She's spunky on most days. She adores her great granddaughters. She cooks delicious meals. She always looks like a million bucks. She gets her hair done every Friday and has since I can remember. We always leave her house with something in hand. She has the gift of the gab. She has a great sense of humor. She has come to love the Lakers and doesn't miss a game. She has a quick wit. She prays the rosary multiple times a day/night. She still cleans her house like a crazy woman. She is always up for a lunch out and a shopping excursion. We love her beyond words and are so thankful for each day we spend with her!

Halloween 2010-Alice and Cinderella oops I mean Minnie

Another Halloween at our house. Annual chili dinner with Uncle Rick and Auntie Alina. Poppy and Grandma Kathy were missed...they're still living it up in Europe...going on two months now...so jealous! Anyway...back to Halloween. So Kendal was going to be Cinderella but her costume had the scent of dye and she refused to wear it...good thing we're not lacking for clothes in the dress-up department of our house...she settled quite happily for Minnie Mouse...and being that she wasn't too enthused about her Minnie costume last year...that was okay...so now I'm wondering if she'll have a different costume next year but dress as Cinderella...hmmmm. So we trick-or-treated in the neighborhood here and loved watching all the people. We had soooooooo many trick-or-treaters...almost had to dig into the girls' candy bags out of desperation...must plan accordingly for next year!!

Travel Town, Griffith Park Carousel and Shane's Playground

We visited Travel Town, looked at the trains, climbed on the trains and rode the mini train; can't wait to go back for their Christmas Town and see Santa.
Loved the carousel at Griffith Park...Mike is a sucker for old carousels and wants to find and ride all those in the USA.
Shane's Inspiration is a Universal park within Griffith Park that is adapted and equipped for all children...special needs, wheel chair bound, blind...it's an amazing place.
We loved our adventure!!!

Haircut for Kendal

Kendal survived her first haircut. She was a trooper...you'd think she's been getting her hair done every week for year like her great grandma...she was chatting Darcy's ear off and thrilled about the attention.
