Lindsay Jane's First Hair Cut!
The excitement mounts as we leave the house for Lindsay's big day.

We arrive at First Cut.

The reality of the situation hits the big brave girl and she has a mild break down due to the fear of the unknown.

The lovely hair doer lady calms Lindsay with some conversation.

Lindsay's warming up to the haircut experience.

While they wait Kendal and Estela take advantage of the fun in the hair salon.

The hair cut is almost finished and Jenny is pulling some of Lindsay's hair back.

Lindsay picks a pink flower to put in her hair.

Feeling much more comfortable with the process Lindsay tries out a few of the other spacecrafts in the salon.

The hair experience is coming to an end...it wasn't so bad...

We did in fact survive and were quite pleased with the entire process. Lindsay picked a new hair brush and a lollipop of course...the day was a success and my sweet girl no longer has tangles in her wild but adorable hair.

A Very Merry Christmas!
We spent Christmas Eve at the Serici house. Poppy of course cooked up a storm but was feeling very under the weather...we were sad about that part...we did make the best of it, loved all his wonderful cooking and spending time together.
Very late on Christmas Eve when Lindsay Jane and I were putting cookies on a plate for Santa, Lindsay decided to sample a piece of one before going to bed (not like she didn't eat about 20 cookies at my dad's house that night). I guess she wanted to make sure they were up to par for Santa...so one of his star cookies was missing a point...hilarious! They were all gone in the morning so I guess he didn't mind.
Christmas morning was full of toys, squeals, lots of wrapping paper and tired parents...in the midst of opening presents we had to stop and have some breakfast~ due to the strenuous activity...after some scrambled eggs and Nina's delicious homemade coffee cake we were back to business. Kendal was thrilled to have so many new things to put in her mouth...now that she is mobile we have to vacuum every 20 minutes or so to prevent choking hazards...it amazes me how many things she can find on the floor...yuck! Lindsay was trying to get the hang of wearing her new sunglasses, as well as seeing if she could open and play with everything she got in 10 minutes...oh, to be two again. Overall it was a great day, mostly spent in our pajamas and we enjoyed every minute!

Photo Shoot Gone Wild!!
I had to attempt two different photo shoots to finally get a good picture of the girls for the holidays. I had my work cut out for me with an infant trying to crawl off as soon as she was posed. There were many points in which one girl was crying...Kendal was pulling Lindsay's hair, Lindsay refused to hold her sister for certain poses, Kendal crawling away multiple times, Lindsay being asked to put her chin down and placing it on her chest...oh the list goes on. I needed a shower after each photo shoot and a nap. Just getting the girls in their outfits was a chore. The first photo shoot Kendal's darling black bow looked like a bird sitting on her head, which I did not realize until viewing the pictures later...good thing I was already planning another attempt. As I look at the 100 pictures I took I can't help but laugh at the fact that I finally ended up with one worth sending out...and people say "oh just capture them in their natural state" can you imagine!

Kendal is 8 Months Old!
Our baby girl is growing and growing and growing. She is at least 20 lbs. right now and will more than likely pass her sister up one day (hopefully not to soon). Her latest nicknames are "the beast", "grumpenheimer", and "grumpy grumperson"...are you getting the picture? She lets us know when she is unhappy and it seems to be a lot lately. We keep thinking she is teething...she has no teeth yet and there don't seem to be any on the horizon...so we now feel it may be her demeanor and we're crossing our fingers she'll grow out of it. Oh yes there are times during the day when she is delightful but we would like those times to be longer in duration. She is very strong and her big sister is taking advantage of her amazing strength by hitching a ride on the back of Kendal's walker whenever she can. Kendal can stand holding on to something and is just about to crawl. We think Kendal's current disposition is due to the fact that she is frustrated because she cannot keep up with her big sis. We still enjoy every minute with her and love when she plays with Lindsay. Pray that we keep our sense of humor when she is fussing and whining...sometimes Mike and I just look at eachother and laugh at the chaos in our house.

Lindsay's First Trip to Disneyland
We took our first trip to Disneyland with Lindsay yesterday. I don't know who was more excited, her or us. Lindsay loved the carousel the most and I think by the end of the night she rode it 5 times. She had her picture taken with Santa for the first time and saw some real reindeer. The Christmas Parade was amazing and it even snowed real snowflakes...if you haven't experienced that for yourself yet, it's something you don't want to miss! Cinderella waved to Lindsay during the parade and she was beside herself to say the least. We went on The Winnie the Pooh ride at the end of the night, that definitely was one of her favorites. We had to purchase Pooh Bear on our way out of the park. She was fast asleep in her Mickey Mouse pjs by the time we reached the freeway...it was a day we'll never forget!
